The local sangha is incredibly energized and dedicated to growing our presence in a part of the city that has a brilliant potential to embrace mindfulness.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation I would like to invite you to participate as a sponsor or player in our 2017 golf tournament. The 2016 CFFF Classic will again be hosted by our friends at Comtech Fire Credit Union at the beautiful Markland Wood Golf Club in Toronto. Last year’s event in Ontario raised well over $15,000 in support of the Foundation and we are hoping to achieve even better results this year. In the four year history of the event, the tournament has raised over $61,000! The Foundation operates on the proceeds of fundraising, donations and events like our golf tournaments which are a big part of our yearly fundraising.
The JP Prescription Drug Awareness Foundation was established to raise awareness about an epidemic that kills 78 people everyday in the United States - deaths from prescription opioids. In 2012, Don and Karen Hill lost their loving son JP to this epidemic. They started the foundation to honor him and to help ensure that other families do not face the loss of a loved one due to prescription drug misuse and abuse. The funds raised from this event go towards Building a curriculum for schools to help educate children and their parents of the dangers of prescription drugs. Providing scholarships in JP's name to pharmacy students at the CU Skaggs School of Pharmacy and at Regis University.

Please do your part to help as every student at Roy Cloud benefits from these wonderful enrichment programs. Most of these programs are no longer covered by funding from the state government and without the PTO supporting these programs for our students, our children would not have access to art, school counselors, physical education, and great technology resources, to name just a few ways the PTO community is helping our students become well-rounded individuals. All of our kids benefit from our fundraising efforts.
