We’re excited to introduce three new features that make in-person fundraising more dynamic and easier to manage: Donor Event Balance management, Live Event checkout options, and functionality to run a live Paddle Raise. Whether you’re hosting a charity gala and auction or benefit concert, these updates will help you run your event more smoothly and maximize giving.
At DoJiggy, we’re proud to support fundraisers of all kinds—from virtual and hybrid campaigns to live, in-person events that bring communities together. As in-person fundraising continues to make a strong comeback, we’ve developed new tools to help you streamline operations, boost donations, and improve the donor experience onsite.
Let’s explore what’s new.

Donor Event Balance Management
This new functionality allows organizations to create, manage, and delete event balances on behalf of their donors during in-person events. Imagine running a high-energy event where guests can bid on auction items, buy raffle tickets, donate to fund-a-need appeals, and purchase merchandise – without having to check out after every transaction. With our new Donor Event Balance Management feature, that’s now possible.
This tool allows your organization to create and manage event balances for donors—much like a restaurant or bar tab. Throughout the live event, purchases and donations can be added to a guest’s balance, which is settled at the end of the evening. This eliminates friction at the point of sale, keeps the donor experience seamless, and encourages higher engagement and spending.

Key use cases:
- A guest makes multiple winning bids in a live or silent auction.
- Attendees buy drinks, custom merchandise, or raffle tickets throughout the night.
- A donor contributes during a live paddle raise or fund-a-need session.
Each transaction made during the live event is recorded to the donor’s profile, and all charges are rolled into one final bill—making end-of-event reconciliation simple for both guests and organizers.
Live Event Checkout Options
With balances accumulating throughout your in-person event, you need simple, flexible ways to settle those tabs. Our new Live Event Checkout Options give organizations control over how and when donor balances are paid.
Choose the checkout method that best suits your audience and event style. Options include:
- Self-checkout – At the end of the event, donors receive an email with a secure link to review and pay their final event balance.
- Automatic checkout – Donors with a saved card on file are automatically charged at the end of the event. This is a hassle-free option for high-volume events and/or for supporters who prefer a hands-off experience.
- Manual checkout – Prefer to close out donations in person? Volunteers or staff can manually process event balances at a payment station and accept card, cash, or check payments to close a donor’s tab.
Running a Live Paddle Raise Event

A new page has been added to facilitate donations during live or hybrid auctions and paddle raises. This feature allows organizers to quickly enter bids and donations, supporting both in-person and online bidders.
Paddle raises and fund-a-need appeals are some of the most emotionally powerful fundraising moments at in-person events. Our new Live Paddle Raise Event functionality helps groups manage these high-impact moments with precision.
Here’s how it works:
- During your live or hybrid auction, a dedicated page allows organizers or volunteers to enter bids or donation amounts as they happen.
- Each donor’s donation is tied to their account, and contributions are automatically added to their event balance.
- You can engage both in-person guests and online attendees in real time, creating a unified and exciting giving moment.
Engage Supporters With a Live Display
We’ve also added a Live Display View, perfect for projecting on screens at your event. This screen dynamically updates with donor names, amounts pledged, and fundraising totals to build excitement and momentum in the room.
With this new feature, your live auctioneer or emcee has the perfect support system to keep the crowd informed and inspired. Whether you’re raising funds for scholarships, a capital campaign, or other urgent needs, the Live Paddle Raise page ensures that your supporters’ generosity is captured quickly, accurately, and visibly.
We’re Taking the Stress Out of Live Event Management
In-person fundraising events offer a unique chance to build connections, share your mission face-to-face, and rally donor support. But without the right tools, managing registrations, transactions, and donations can get overwhelming.
These new features were built to reduce friction and increase flexibility during your events. Together, they allow you to:
- Offer guests a seamless giving experience with fewer interruptions
- Eliminate clunky check-out lines and last-minute confusion
- Capture every donation opportunity as it happens—no missed bids or abandoned transactions
- Engage hybrid audiences and give online attendees a real-time connection to your live event
And because these tools are fully integrated into the DoJiggy platform, you’ll benefit from unified reporting, simplified reconciliation, and an easy-to-use interface for both your team and your supporters.
