Google Analytics

Of all the web site visitor tracking tools available today, Google Analytics is one of the best, full-featured, in-depth web traffic analysis packages available. And best of all, its free! And Google Analytics is fully integrated into our fundraising websites. The DoJiggy integration simplifies the setup process, making it easy to get started with Google Analytics visitor tracking and reporting.

Here is a step by step guide to get started.

Getting Started with Google Analytics

Go to the Google Analytics Sign Up Page and sign up for an account. If you already have a Google account, just login, click on the “Sign Up” button to get going with the setup process. Enter your DoJiggy Web Site’s Details – New Account Signup

Next you will see a screen for information about your web site. Type in your DoJiggy Professional domain name in the Website’s URL field, the account name and set your time preferences. The account name will be the group name for the series of web sites you use Google Analytics on. Use a group name like ‘Main’ or ‘My Website’ is fine, or just use the Website URL for the Account Name.

Enter Your Contact Information

On this page, you provide your contact information. If you don’t want to do this – just select your country and you should be good to go to the next step.

Check Out the Terms of Service

One of the last pages you will see is Google’s terms of service and legal agreement. Review it, and if you approve, click the “Yes, I agree to the above terms and conditions.” check mark box and then press Create New Account >>. Identify your Google Analytics Account ID – Tracking Instructions

This step gives you a your Google Analytics Account ID. Because of the integration we provide, you do not need all this code, However, look carefully for the line that contains a some hint like “_uacct = “UA-xxxxxxx-1” or “var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker(“UA-xxxxxxx-1″)” The UA-4xxxxxx-1 part is the Google Analytics Account ID. That is all you need. Select and copy that code into your clipboard, and write it down for safekeeping. You need to enter that code info the DoJiggy admin system on the next step.

Enter your Google Analytics Account ID into the DoJiggy Administration Area

When you get you Google Analytics Account ID, just enter it in your administration area -> Events -> Settings -> Advanced -> Google Analytics Account ID, and press update. That’s it! You have successfully setup Google Analytics.
