Getting Started with Google Analytics
Go to the Google Analytics Sign Up Page and sign up for an account. If you already have a Google account, just login, click on the “Sign Up” button to get going with the setup process. Enter your DoJiggy Web Site’s Details – New Account Signup
Next you will see a screen for information about your web site. Type in your DoJiggy Professional domain name in the Website’s URL field, the account name and set your time preferences. The account name will be the group name for the series of web sites you use Google Analytics on. Use a group name like ‘Main’ or ‘My Website’ is fine, or just use the Website URL for the Account Name.
Enter Your Contact Information
On this page, you provide your contact information. If you don’t want to do this – just select your country and you should be good to go to the next step.
Check Out the Terms of Service
One of the last pages you will see is Google’s terms of service and legal agreement. Review it, and if you approve, click the “Yes, I agree to the above terms and conditions.” check mark box and then press Create New Account >>. Identify your Google Analytics Account ID – Tracking Instructions
This step gives you a your Google Analytics Account ID. Because of the integration we provide, you do not need all this code, However, look carefully for the line that contains a some hint like “_uacct = “UA-xxxxxxx-1” or “var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker(“UA-xxxxxxx-1″)” The UA-4xxxxxx-1 part is the Google Analytics Account ID. That is all you need. Select and copy that code into your clipboard, and write it down for safekeeping. You need to enter that code info the DoJiggy admin system on the next step.
Enter your Google Analytics Account ID into the DoJiggy Administration Area
When you get you Google Analytics Account ID, just enter it in your administration area -> Events -> Settings -> Advanced -> Google Analytics Account ID, and press update. That’s it! You have successfully setup Google Analytics.
Google Analytics generally updates your reports every 24 hours. This means that it could take 24 hours for data to appear in your account after you have updated your DoJiggy website settings.
