Father’s Day Fundraising

Father’s Day Fundraising

Honoring Fathers on Father’s Day is beautifully done through fundraising for causes that support fathers. Families work side by side on this special day in crowdfunding events, golf marathons, and walkathons. Here are some of our client sites in action this Father’s Day.

Father’s Day Fundraising Bowl-a-thon

Bowling For Dads on Father’s Day is a national peer-to-peer fundraising event in support of the Fatherhood Support Network taking place at Bowling Centers all across the country. Their goal is to create an annual tradition of honoring, celebrating, and having fun on Father’s Day with dads who are actively involved in the lives of their children while raising funds for the Fatherhood Support Network. The fundraising proceeds help support the Fatherhood Support Network’s training of fatherhood mentors across the country in one-on-one mentorship activities.

The Fatherhood Support Network’s crowdfunding website for the bowl-a-thon events allows individuals and teams to collect donations and pledges for the cause. The campaign fundraising team has easily configured each fundraising website to meet their specific needs, and each bowler has enjoyed personalizing their web pages. Nothing is too good for fathers, and the efforts of each volunteer are for them.

The Fatherhood Support Network bowl-a-thon, which bowlers commit to raising donations to participate in their organization’s crowdfunding event. They simply register on the crowdfunding website, build their personal page, and then contact friends, colleagues, and family members to solicit donations for The Fatherhood Support Network. The website includes personal fundraising pages for each bowler, and they share a link via email and social media sites that lands directly on their fundraising page. Motivated bowlers can raise thousands of dollars for this cause through their social network for fathers. And it’s all happening on Father’s Day!

“The Fatherhood Support Network has developed a mentorship model for men to provide support, encouragement, and guidance to other men in their roles as fathers. Many fathers want to be there for their children as dads, but unfortunately, too many of them fall by the wayside and give up on their children when confronted with obstacles and challenges such as conflicts with the mother of their children, financial hardship, and imbalances in the legal system. The Fatherhood Support Network was created to help fill the gap in providing greatly needed emotional and tangible resources to fathers throughout America who desire to maintain an active role in the lives of their children. More specifically, the organization is striving for the following goals over the next three years:

  • Train 1, 000 Fatherhood Mentors across the United States to provide mentorship to fathers in need of support, encouragement, and guidance.
  • Provide direct financial support to 1,000 fathers to assist in their ability to build and maintain an active and consistent relationship with their children.
  • Host family events and activities such as “Dad’s Night Out” and “Bowling for Dads” on Father’s Day for the purpose of providing an opportunity for more than 1,000 fathers to engage in a positive family activity with their child/children.
  • Build a Network of Fatherhood Mentors in each of the 50 states whereby fathers in need of support, encouragement, and guidance have access to a Fatherhood Mentor in their home state.
  • Establish collaborative partnerships with a minimum of ten national and international organizations who are committed to significantly reducing the number of children in America (and globally) who live in father-absent homes (currently 24 million in the United States).”

The Fatherhood Support Network bowl-a-thon website easily manages the complete online registration and management system for their Father’s Day bowl-a-thon. Bowlers collect and track pledges and donations for this important cause. Their responsive website performs well on all devices, which is especially important with this type of peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. The fundraiser allows The Fatherhood Support Network to multiply their fundraising resources and raise money, as each participant taps into their group of constituents to raise funds during the Father’s Day crowdfunding event.

Go Plaid for Dad Golf Tournament

Plaid for Dad

Another fabulous fundraiser is on Father’s Day! This incredible fundraising campaign asks if you’ll Go Plaid for Dad.

Plaid for Dad is a golf tournament fundraising event launched in 2015 to help raise awareness and vital research funds for prostate cancer. It has quickly become a fun and easy way for Canadians to celebrate dad and help the 1 in 8 men who will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.

This year they are expecting over 1,000 workplaces and thousands of individuals from across Canada to Go Plaid through donations, fundraising, and events. The Friday before Father’s Day is officially designated as the day to wear Plaid for Dad. Participants will share photos across social medial platforms using the hashtag #PlaidforDad to show their support and help spread the word.

Their golf tournament website easily directs golfers to the Plaid for Dad tournament where they can register for the event, join teams, purchase products or mulligans. Golfers receive automatic e-mail confirmations and are added to their nonprofit reporting database. Reports print or download to Excel for tournament check-in and financial tracking.

Plaid for Dad donors easily supports this cause by making secure online donations. Donations are securely processed via debit or credit cards and donors in support of Prostate Canada can commit online and still mail checks if they prefer.
